God’s will for me
There are times when God’s will for me is the direct opposite of what I want. My recovery depends on me accepting the fact ‘I don’t always know what’s best for me’. I can be self-centered. When I came to recovery and agreed with God to ‘give control to Him’ I agrees to submit my life and will to Him. For that reason I must now and always make choices based on His will for me, His Word and His direction through prayer and meditation.
Galatians 5:16-17 So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.
