Recovery is a continual dailyprocess:Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win a full reward. 2 John 1:8
As we progress in recovery and get well it can be tempting to stop applying the recovery disciplines we have installed for our lives. Daily prayer, meditation, inventory, repentance, confession, forgiveness etc. To do so will result in relapse, which will result in us missing out on the prize God has prepared for us. PERSEVERE!
Recovery came at a cost: Did you suffer so many things in vain-if indeed it was in vain? Galatians 3:5
None of us woke up one day and said “what a great day it is, I think I will quit using”. We all arrived in recovery through painful and shameful circumstances. Let your suffering mean something.PERSEVERE!
Recovery has it’s rewards: Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. Hebrews 10:35
Some days will be easy, some days will be hard. But everyday will be an improvement on the last, emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually. PERSEVERE!
