Knowledge is better taught by example

I read a quote today that impressed me. It said “We’re drowning in information and starving for knowledge.”

As I read it I thought of the many individuals we connect with in recovery, with remedies for successful recovery. Many of which work when applied. Many of which could work but don’t because they are never applied. Generally because they are expressed only in words.

Words without action are pointless. God calls us in recovery to ‘walk the walk’ not just for our own benefit but also for His benefit and for the benefit of others who are waiting and watching us before they decide where to turn next in recovery…

1 Samuel 2:3 Don’t continue bragging, don’t speak proud words. The Lord is a God who knows everything, and he judges what people do.
