I made a conscious decision to us ‘Social Networking’
as a means of sharing God’s love….

This is a recent decision I have made because the Bible instructs us in Psalm 96:3 to tell the nations of his glory;  tell all peoples the miracles he does. The only resource I have available to me to do that is social networking.

Today I would like to take a few moments to look at what I believe a ‘social networking ministry’ looks like.

First let us look at the word social:

In the dictionary is is defined as seeking or enjoying the companionship of others; friendly; connected. Based on this definition a social networking ministry must be interactive. Many people use social networking as a billboard, a place to post their thoughts, attitudes and actions, without seeking response from others. That to me is not social networking it is a one-sided opinionated approach where people can either take it or leave it, without option to agree or disagree.

The word networking in the dictionary means:  a supportive system of sharing information and services among individuals and groups having a common interest. So my ‘social networking ministry’ must look for individuals and groups similar to me. I am a 48 year old Christian who recovered my addiction to alcohol through the saving grace of Jesus Christa and transformed my life through the power of Holy Spirit relationship on a daily basis.

So if you are alike minded person to me, or would like to be. If you are person who is seeking the companionship of others and wants to be connected then join me in ‘social networking ministry’ and let God use us to change the lives of others who visit.

Over the next few months I expect my blog and social media networks will not change a lot. The difference to me in ‘social Networking’ is interaction 1 on 1 with others and groups to ensure as it says in Proverbs 3:6 in all my ways I submit to him, so he will make my paths straight.

Feel free to comment and share your opinion on ‘Social Networking’. Even if you disagree.

Psalm 119:57 Lord, you are my share in life;  I have promised to obey your words.
