We live in an age of goal-setting. It is not new! Away back. God set tasks before His people as goals to be reached. In the new Testament righteousness (acceptable standards of morality and justice) is set before us, with heaven being the final goal to reach. Recovery from day to day is a process of going on from task to task. ‘Let us go on to perfection.’ (Hebrews 6:1)
The loud and clear call for us all urges:
- Diligently viewing of distant goals
– “A goal should be just out of reach but not out of sight” - Dedication to immediate goals.
“Define your goals clearly so that others can see them as you do.
Assuming that some who have read this are on the ‘Road to Recovery’ I wish to encourage you to keep on keeping on and persevere in the way you have begun.
