Truth Never Changes
That’s why it’s the truth!
“Truth stands the test of time; lies are soon exposed (Proverbs 12:9)
Proverbs 10:19 You will say the wrong thing if you talk too much— so be sensible and watch what you say.
God gave us two ears and one mouth for a reason.
Just tell the truth!
When you make a promise, say only “Yes” or “No.” Anything else comes from the devil. Matt. 5:37
Have you ever made plans with someone knowing you were not going to keep them Committed to doing something you were not committed to? Said something you regretted saying when you thought about it?
God is our mighty fortress, always ready to help in times of trouble. (Psa 46:1)
Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord. For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church. Ephesians 5:21-23
Building and rebuilding relationships is one of the most important tasks we will be required to carry out in recovery. Learning to love my wife (who has been in Church all of her life) was one of the most difficult parts of the recovery process for me. Thankfully when God gives us a task He also equips us to carry it out.
Only Christ offers true healing. Our job is to share His message of healing power through speaking the truth and living according to His principles.
Recovery requires truth. Hurts can’t be healed, habits can’t changed and hang-ups can’t be helped unless we get honest, fess up to them and trust God to overcome them.
“The Lord is a mighty rock, and he never does wrong. God can always be trusted to bring justice.” (Deut 32:4)
Jesus Christ the One true Higher Power
After he finished the sacrifice for sins, the Son took his honored place high in the heavens right alongside God, far higher than any angel in rank and rule. Did God ever say to an angel, “You’re my Son; today I celebrate you” or “I’m his Father, he’s my Son”? When he presents his honored Son to the world, he says, “All angels must worship him.” (Heb 1:3-6)
“How much longer will you enjoy being stupid fools?” (Prv 1:22)
Now is the time for CHANGE!
