Running away from our problems rarely solves them

An angel of God found Hagar beside a spring in the desert; it was the spring on the road to Shur. He said, “Hagar, maid of Sarai, what are you doing here?”

She said, “I’m running away from Sarai my mistress.”

When Hagar was running away from her mistress and her problems. The angel of the Lord gave her this advice:

  1. return and face your problems.
  2. work on your own attitude towards your problems.
  3. trust God’s promise to help you overcome your problems.

How often in our lives do we find it easier to run away than to take responsibility for our problems, correct our attitudes and trust God for a solution?
