Day 6 – January 6, 2014

Today’s devotion is dedicated to Wayne (Mouse) Perry, who was tragically stabbed in Melbourne as he slept at his squat down by the Yarra.

R.I.P: Wayne, we will miss you..

Thought:

The Bible tells us not to worry about the lies people tell about us. Because God protects us and people who don’t understand that He is not like us are deceiving themselves.

The reality of life is we all get hurt, we hurt others and we hurt ourselves, but God will never hurt us. He is a loving, caring God and He wants what is best for us all.

We can all take advantage of those weaker than ourselves in order to get or own way. But God sees everything, He is waiting to rescue us all from those who will deceive us and stand over us. All we need to do is ‘Trust in The Lord’

Scripture:

Psalm 12:5 says The Lord replies “I have seen violence done to the helpless, and I have heard the groans of the poor. Now I will rise up to rescue them, as they have longed for me to do.”

Prayer:

God help me today to understand the reality ‘You love me’ ‘You care about me’ and ‘You are waiting to rescue me’ Help me today to put my trust in You
