Devotions

Day 13 – January 13, 2014

Thought:
The road to winning is failure. Very few people get it right the first time. But failure need not be final. After knowing the disaster of defeat and the fury of failure most of us want to succeed, and are willing to go to any lengths to achieve it.

The death of Jesus on the cross was not a failure. He died for our sins. He accomplished His mission . He is a winner and won out over sin, death and hell.

In recovery we can either throw in the towel ans elect to flirt with failure forever, or, we can meaningfully turn our wills and lives over to Christ. He died for us so we can experience victory over our failures.

Scripture:
“Sing a new song to the Lord; he has done wonderful things! By his own power and holy strength he has won the victory” Psalm 98:1

Prayer:
Thank You Lord for helping me overcome my many failures, renounce my weaknesses and entrust myself to Your victory.
