Hebrews 4:9-11 The promise of “arrival” and “rest” is still there for God’s people. God himself is at rest. And at the end of the journey we’ll surely rest with God. So let’s keep at it and eventually arrive at the place of rest, not drop out through some sort of disobedience.
God rested on the seventh day not because He was tired, but to indicate the completion of creation. The job was finished and God was satisfied.
On Sunday, at a church here in Victoria I listened to a message from Todd White. In His message Todd spoke about ‘The Peace of God‘ and no one being able to take it away from us.
God’s peace is not an assurance that nothing bad is ever going to happen to us, because life is life and stuff happens (good and bad)
God’s peace is our assurance that nothing is going to take away the inner peace that He has given us because of our faith in Him. God’s peace is eternal!
Our full complete rest in Christ begins when we trust Him to complete His good and perfect work in us.
Prayer: Just for today I will be all that God calls me to be and do that all God calls me to do, confidently knowing that by turning my life over to Him on a daily basis He will keep me on the right track.
