God is educating you; that’s why you must never drop out. He’s treating you as dear children. This trouble you’re in isn’t punishment; it’s training, Hebrews 12:7
It is one thing to know ‘recovery is a life-long process’ and another to discover what works for you and persevere at it. Some of you might have noticed I post a fair bit of stuff, here on my blog and on social media. One thing I noticed tonight is I tend to start a way of posting and writing, or I start posting on particular topics but stop short on them before I get to the end (the Twelve Steps of Life Recovery is one example) And, I found myself, in conversation with the Holy Spirit asking the question ”what’s that all about?” and as I thought about the question I realised my life in recovery has been the same, I tend to start things and just as they start taking off I get bored with them and either abandon them or sabotage them. Does that happen to anyone else?
– What is about lack of perseverance that stops us
from finishing what we start?
Lack of commitment? Unbelief? Lack of genuine faith? Fear of failure? Fear of success?
