“I shout for help, God, and get nothing, no answer! I stand to face you in protest, and you give me a blank stare! Job 30:20

Every morning when we wake we are confronted with a blank canvas. In the first few minutes of our waking, contemplating the day ahead the blank canvas is marked. The plan for the day is set and we have defined our daily actions.

Romans 3:23  says “Since we’ve compiled this long and sorry record as sinners and proved that we are utterly incapable of living the glorious lives God wills for us.” In spite of our capabilities and doubts God is listening and waiting to walk with us as we set out each new (blank canvas day)

1 John 1:7
“ …. the sacrificed blood of Jesus, God’s Son, purges all our sin.” 1 John 3:22We’re able to stretch our hands out and receive what we asked for because we’re doing what he said, doing what pleases him.” Our sinful and sorry record is not a blank canvas; it is written in our hearts. We need inner cleansing. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is an announcement of miracle-working power in our lives, announcement of a Savior able to radically change us and our plans. This is indeed ‘GOOD NEWS’

Lord, I confess to you my sin! Take my plans today, shape them and use them for Your glory and Your will.
