Have no cares; but in everything with prayer and praise put your requests before God. Philippians 4:6
Day: 24 December 2015
Keep watch with prayer, so that you may not be put to the test; the spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is feeble. Mark 14:38
Be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his power. Take up God’s instruments of war, so that you may be able to keep your position against all the deceits of the Evil One. For our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against authorities and powers, against the world-rulers of this dark night, against the spirits of evil in the heavens. Ephesians 6:10-12
With prayers and deep desires, making requests at all times in the Spirit, and keeping watch, with strong purpose, in prayer for all the saints, Ephesians 6:18
It is a true saying, in which all may put their faith, that Christ Jesus came into the world to give salvation to sinners, of whom I am the chief: 1 Timothy 1:15
Millions of people throughout the world celebrate Christmas without Celebrating Christmas. They have no idea of what Christmas is about, or what it means. Even in places where carols are sung, nativity plays performed, cards exchanged depicting manger scenes and gift giving occurs, which was first of all in remembrance of God’s dispatching His Son, Jesus on a life-saving mission – His love gift to us. As you celebrate Christmas this year celebrate what god has done. He came down to earth in the person of Jesus, to do what no other could do, as the Bible verse above says, the purpose of His coming was our salvation.
Lord, help me remember and understand what happened that first Christmas, and make it mean more to me this year.
