Step 6: After discovering my sinful habits and attitudes and confessing them, I am now willing to let God change me.
Hebrews 11:6 Wthout faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Faith engages us in exploration of things spiritual and discovery always compliments our our trust in God. What we need in recovery is not just to posses faith , but a faith that posses us, not ust to hold on to faith, but to be held by faith.
As we travel the road of recovery we can all expect to be tested; by temptation, troubles, problems, people and tricky situations. In our testing God gives us opportunities to prove His unfailing ability and our sincerity and commitment to the recovery process.
Stretching our faith onward and forward with God is part of the growth process.
2 Peter 1:5-7 Do your best to add goodness to your faith; to your goodness add knowledge; to your knowledge add self-control; to your self-control add endurance; to your endurance add godliness; to your godliness add Christian affection; and to your Christian affection add love.
