Step Eight: As part of the process of change, I will identify and record everyone I have harmed and through prayer become willing to make restitution to them.

Matthew 6:6 “Here’s what I want you to do: Find a quiet, secluded place so you won’t be tempted to role-play before God. Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. The focus will shift from you to God, and you will begin to sense his grace.”

Looking forward tonight to sharing at B-Together Life Recovery on step eight and ‘LIVING BY GRACE’

God’s grace is our only hope of continued recovery and serenity. Psalms 142:5 says I cry out, God, call out: ‘You’re my last chance, my only hope for life!’ For many of us in recovery that is the reality. We have tried numerous things to achieve sobriety and sernity without success now at a loss we are turning to God and His Grace to change our lives.

God’s grace makes change possible. Ephesians 1:7-8 says  “Because of the sacrifice of the Messiah, his blood poured out on the altar of the Cross, we’re a free people–free of penalties and punishments chalked up by all our misdeeds.  And not just barely free, either. Abundantly free! He thought of everything, provided for everything we could possibly need” Withut God’s grace none of us can be saved, we must acknowledge we cannot help ourselves (we’ve tried)  Only God can help and the only way to lasting, growing spiritually recovery is faith in Jesus Christ.

LIVING BY GRACE REQUIRES FORGIVENESS, LOVE AND MERCY
