Col 1.15

Daily Reflection
May 12, 2016

We look at this Son and see the God who cannot be seen. We look at this Son and see God’s original purpose in everything created. For everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible, rank after rank after rank of angels—everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him. He was there before any of it came into existence and holds it all together right up to this moment. And when it comes to the church, he organizes and holds it together, like a head does a body.

The miracle birth of Jesus, in a manger so long ago was essential. Diety embracing our humanity “God with us”  A distinctive dignitry conferred on our human nature. A Son of man as well as a Son of God. An appointed head, representative of God to bridge the gap between the Holy God and sinful man. Born to die on a cross for us.

God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son so that anyone who believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.(John 3:16) Here is a saying that you can trust. It should be accepted completely. Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. And I am the worst sinner of all. (1 Timothy 1:15)

He is the head of the body, which is the church. He is the beginning. He is the first to be raised from the dead. That happened so that he would be far above everything.
