Daily Reflection CoverLet God use you

2 Timothy 1:7 God didn’t give us a spirit that makes us weak and fearful. He gave us a spirit that gives us power and love. It helps us control ourselves.

Power and love are two of the main drivers of our spiritual growth.

Gods power is available to us through our everyday living. It is easy for us as we go through the process of recovery to believe “God only
uses special people and I am not special.”

Often in my life when I talk to the Holy Spirit I ask God the question “Why me?” Because I feel pretty special. Knowing where I was, what happened and where I am now makes me feel like God really cares about me.

Every time I ask God that question He gives me the same answer. “Why not you?” Recovery has nothing to do with how good we are and everything to do with how available we are to be used by God.

  • Are you open and available to let God use you anyway He wants to?

Prayer: God use me today wherever You think I am needed.

Get along with each other; don’t be stuck-up. Make friends with nobodies; don’t be the great somebody. Don’t hit back; discover beauty in everyone. If you’ve got it in you, get along with everybody. Don’t insist on getting even; that’s not for you to do. “I’ll do the judging,” says God. “I’ll take care of it.
