Daily Reflection November 8, 2016
Psalms 133:1 How wonderful, how beautiful, when brothers and sisters get along!
I have really enjoyed the past couple of days. Catching up with family, remembering and reminiscing about the past and our experiences good and bad as a family. We have all heard the saying “You can pick your friends, but you can’t pick your family.” Today I want to thank God for the family He has given me. All very different in character but bound by a love that no-one could ever sever.
Last night with my Mum and my eldest niece we sat around talking about our past experiences and some of the antics we got up to and away with. Proverbs 13:22 says “A good life gets passed on to the grandchildren.” Today I want to also give thanks to God for my Mum and the good foundations she installed in us and has passed onto her grandchildren. Not always perfect, but always loving and supportive. Thanks,Mum! Even when we got it wrong you were always there to pick us up.
Proverbs 24:3 It takes wisdom to build a house, and understanding to set
it on a firm foundation.
