Don’t make God Sad

Ephesians 4:30 Don’t grieve God. Don’t break his heart. His Holy Spirit, moving and breathing in you, is the most intimate part of your life, making you fit for himself. Don’t take such a gift for granted.

How can I make God said? I love this question and have been asked it a few times by people in recovery. Here is my answer to them and I hope it helps you.

As we have gone through the process of recovery God has gone with us. Encouraging us, helping us and correcting us when we have needed correcting. Like any loving parent He has been pleased when we have done well and disappointed when we haven’t. Imagine how He would feel if you decided to relapse. How He would feel if after knowing all you know now and learning all you have leaned you just gave up. That’s how you can make God sad.

 –       How does it make you feel to know God is counting on you
finishing what you have started

Prayer: Lord I love You. Help me today not to do anything that disappoints
You and my Heavenly Father.
