Galatians 5:22 What happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard–things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments.

Philippians 2:5 Think of yourselves the way Christ Jesus thought of himself : – Through recovery we must strive to imitate Him, to reproduce His image not only in the outward but also in our inner lives. We need to strive to follow His unselfishness and humility.
1 John 1:9 On the other hand, if we admit our sins–make a clean breast of them–he won’t let us down; he’ll be true to himself. He’ll forgive our sins and purge us of all wrongdoing.
It’s easy to say “I’m a sinner” it’s another to decide to do something about it. In order to gain and maintain recovery we need to make a conscious decision at the commencement of the recovery process, we are going to do whatever it takes to do whatever we need to change our lives.
