Recovery Devotion 142, 2017
DON’T BE FOOLISH
Psalms 69:5 God, you know how foolish I’ve been. My guilt is not hidden from you.
God knows everything about us. Knowing the foolish things that we have done hasn’t stopped Him loving us.
It is foolish for any of us to think we can achieve recovery without God’s help. We become foolish we rely more on ourselves than we do on Him. Psalm 14:1 says Foolish people say in their hearts, “There is no God.” They do all kinds of horrible and evil things. No one does anything good.
I can relate to this verse. I remember so much of my life, before I invited Jesus to share it . Doing wrong t hing and justifying wrong things as right things for my own selfish ambitions.
– What foolish things do you still do and justify you need to stop?
Prayer: Lord help me today to face reality and stop doing and justifying the wrong things with Your help
