Leviticus 5:5 “When you are guilty, immediately confess the sin that you’ve committed.”
As soon as God, by his Spirit, convinces our consciences of any sin or duty, we must take action on it with conviction and not allow the shame of our past mistakes to hold us back from growing spiritually.
I heard a message of the Australian Christian Channel this week. Can’t remember who was speaking but what they said was “We as Christians have moved away from the act of confessing to each other.” And, we justify it by saying – “I’ve talked to God about it” or “It’s between me and God.”
This week at Living Life Recovery we are looking at Step Five and the importance of confessing our sins to each other. James 5:16 is a great verse for showing us the importance of this step in the recovery process “So you can live together whole and healed.”
Step five is about dropping our masks and being open and honest with someone we trust. Join us at 7:30 pm in Hastings if you can …..
