Day: 25 August 2017
Brothers and sisters, don’t say anything against each other. If you criticize your brother or sister in Christ or judge them, you are criticizing and judging the law they follow. And when you are judging the law, you are not a follower of the law. You have become a judge. James 4:11
1 Peter 2:21 Christ suffered for you. He left you an example. He expects you to follow in his steps. You too were chosen to suffer.
God transforms our suffering into success.
Nowhere in the Bible does it say we will not suffer. In John 16:33, Jesus says “In this world you will have trouble. But cheer up! I have won the battle over the world.” He also says in Luke 21:19 “If you stand firm, you will gain life.”
The process of recovery is about regaining control of our lives, through giving control to God. We do that by learning His Word and applying it to our daily living. And by following wherever He leads us.
Recovery will never be trouble free but it will always be worth the trouble.
- Are you prepared to do the hard yards to achieve recovery?
Prayer: Lord help me to do the hard yards to be all You want me to be and achieve all You want me to achieve.

Living Life Recovery is a safe place where people can come, share and investigate the realities of God’s promises for themselves.
We believe that as we investigate God’s promises for our lives and practice the ‘Spiritual Principles of Recovery’ as outlined in ‘God’s Word’ we will find the strength and freedom we need to live productive and peaceful lives.
We welcome anyone who has a sincere desire to change their lives. To rise above the pain and turmoil caused by dependencies and compulsive behaviors their own lives or the lives of a loved one or friend.
Many of us wallow in our pasts and sink easily into the harbour of such memories. Ask forgiveness for allowing these feelings to overcome what you know is your new reality. This episode is also available as a blog post: https://livingliferecovery.com/2022/04/27/thougtfortoday/
