It’s Your Life You Must Change! http://ow.ly/i/CB0xW
Day: 5 February 2018
Acts 16:31 They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus. Then you and your family will be saved.”
Over the life of my recovery, I have watched people I know change because of the changes they have seen in me. Do they profess to be Christian? I don’t know. Many of them are believers. The same as I was before I came into recovery.
The one thing I am sure of God is working in each of them and He has changed them whether they acknowledge Him or not.
The other thing I know is because of my decision to change and its effect on my children my kids are not into the things I was growing up.
Recovery changes our lives and it also changes the lives of those in our sphere of influence.
- Have you noticed changes in others because of your recovery?
God can change the worst in us. There are probably things in our past we are ashamed of. The ‘Good News’ is God changes us! When others see the changes God makes in us it can be a good opportunity to introduce them to Him.
God’s changes are complete. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says we are new creations, the old is gone, the new has come. Recovery is not just about turning over a new leaf/ It’s about life transformation.
The starting point of change is repentance. Jesus stands ready to forgive our sins if we are willing to confess them and repent. With God’s help, we can stop our wrongdoing and live right.
Psalms 15:2 “Walk straight, act right, tell the truth.
Proverbs 24:21 Fear God, dear child–respect your leaders; don’t be defiant or mutinous.
Hosea 4:7 “The more they sinned against Me; I will change their glory into shame.”
2 Corinthians 5:18 All this comes from the God who settled the relationship between us and him, and then called us to settle our relationships with each other.
Philippians 3:21 He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies like His own, using the same power with which He will bring everything under His control.

Living Life Recovery is a safe place where people can come, share and investigate the realities of God’s promises for themselves.
We believe that as we investigate God’s promises for our lives and practice the ‘Spiritual Principles of Recovery’ as outlined in ‘God’s Word’ we will find the strength and freedom we need to live productive and peaceful lives.
We welcome anyone who has a sincere desire to change their lives. To rise above the pain and turmoil caused by dependencies and compulsive behaviors their own lives or the lives of a loved one or friend.
Many of us wallow in our pasts and sink easily into the harbour of such memories. Ask forgiveness for allowing these feelings to overcome what you know is your new reality. This episode is also available as a blog post: https://livingliferecovery.com/2022/04/27/thougtfortoday/
