Treasure Unfound

All the richest treasures of wisdom and knowledge are embedded in that mystery and nowhere else. And we’ve been shown the mystery! I’m telling you this because I don’t want anyone leading you off on some wild-goose chase, after other so-called mysteries, or “the Secret.” Colossians 2:3-4

Many people with addictions do not believe deeply in God. It is not the purpose of these blog posts to defend the existence of a Creator, nor argue for Christian doctrine. Living Life Recovery simply submits posts from a Bible-based recovery standpoint. We endorse prayer and The Bible.

From personal experience, I want to say Christ is the fullness of God, mighty and matchless, the One True Higher Power. Whatever superiorities others may flaunt, they are not able to redeem humans from sin-ravaged living or remove the inbuilt sin problem.

We may choose to follow other fantastic notions which portray all kinds of escape routes from our problems, but they lead nowhere or fail to deliver us from them. God does not force us to accept Him or follow Him. Spiritually poor individuals may never discover the finest treasures. Hidden in a relationship with His Holy Spirit. It is by open-minded searching we find Him. It requires action on our part and depends on us doing things God’s way.

Jesus Christ is the WAY in “Him alone”, says the scriptures, we find “ALL” that we are seeking. It worked for me and I am confident it will work for you if you have not yet put Him in His rightful place in your recovery and life.
