Alone, you shiver all night. By yourself, you’re unprotected. With a friend, you can face the worst. Can you round up a third? A three-stranded rope isn’t easily snap.
Supportive, healthy relationships are necessary for successful recovery. Standing alone we are vulnerable. We need to learn to trust others, so support others and to admit we need others. Through healthy relationships, we gain strength, wisdom, and relapse to our old ways of thinking, behaving and living.
