Open Up To God
Psalms 37:5 Open up before God, keep nothing back; he’ll do whatever needs to be done.
Psalms 37:5 Open up before God, keep nothing back; he’ll do whatever needs to be done.
Proverbs 10:9 Honesty lives confident and carefree, but Shifty is sure to be exposed.
Romans 12:9 Love must be honest and true. Hate what is evil. Hold on to what is good.
In the process of repairing relationships, we need to be honest, we need to accept responsibility for our part in relationship breakdowns without justifying the bad behaviors of others.
This can be difficult if the person on your list is a close relative or friend. That is why we need to check our list regularly on step eight to ensure people are not on our list for the wrong reasons. We need to pray over our list and seek God’s guidance.
During the process of step eight is a good time to start putting together a prayer list. It is a good time to start talking to God about the people and things you may be nervous about as you prepare for the steps ahead.
Prayer: Lord help me to set aside time each day to talk to You about the steps ahead of me.
Proverbs 4:23 Keep vigilant watch over your heart; that’s where life starts.
Living Life Recovery is a safe place where people can come, share and investigate the realities of God’s promises for themselves.
We believe that as we investigate God’s promises for our lives and practice the ‘Spiritual Principles of Recovery’ as outlined in ‘God’s Word’ we will find the strength and freedom we need to live productive and peaceful lives.
We welcome anyone who has a sincere desire to change their lives. To rise above the pain and turmoil caused by dependencies and compulsive behaviors their own lives or the lives of a loved one or friend.
Many of us wallow in our pasts and sink easily into the harbour of such memories. Ask forgiveness for allowing these feelings to overcome what you know is your new reality. This episode is also available as a blog post: https://livingliferecovery.com/2022/04/27/thougtfortoday/
