Continually looking at and adjusting what we have learned and how we apply it to our daily living is an important part of the recovery process. Ignoring it will lead us backward. Maybe not to the point of picking up our drug-of-choice but certainly to a point where we start traveling on a road to character destruction.
A problem for a number of people I have shared within recovery has been the opinion “I now know what I need to know so I don’t need this anymore.” Wrong opinions lead to relapse.
