When We Pray
Matthew 7:7 “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.
Our God is a prayer answering God. James 4:2 says “You want what you don’t have, so you kill to get it. You long for what others have, and can’t afford it, so you start a fight to take it away from them. And yet the reason you don’t have what you want is that you don’t ask God for it.”
Matthew 7:7 is pretty clear when it says “Keep on asking” “Keep on seeking” “Keep on knocking.” God does not work on our agenda. And, why should He? He wants us to keep asking Him for what we need and relying on Him to keep His promises to us. Then Matthew 21:22 “You can get anything—anything you ask for in prayer—if you believe.” will become our new reality.
God is Watching Us
James 5:9 Brothers and sisters, don’t find fault with one another. If you do, you will be judged. And the Judge is standing at the door!
We all have faults. None of us is perfect. The Bible tells us anyone who thinks they are only fools themselves. Because we all have faults we should learn to respond to the faults of others with mercy and patience. The same way God responds to ours. We also need to learn when we do start getting judgemental to examine our motives for our feelings.
If we examine our motives and feel that someone really is traveling down the wrong road then we need to judge according to God’s standards, not our own.
God is watching everything we do in our lives and when He needs to He will correct us.

Church For People with Addictions
Romans 7:18-25 I realize that I don’t have what it takes. I can will it, but I can’t do it. I decide to do good, but I don’t really do it; I decide not to do bad, but then I do it anyway. My decisions, such as they are, don’t result in actions. Something has gone wrong deep within me and gets the better of me every time. It happens so regularly that it’s predictable. The moment I decide to do good, sin is there to trip me up. I truly delight in God’s commands, but it’s pretty obvious that not all of me joins in that delight. Parts of me covertly rebel, and just when I least expect it, they take charge. I’ve tried everything and nothing helps. I’m at the end of my rope. Is there no one who can do anything for me? Isn’t that the real question? The answer, thank God, is that Jesus Christ can and does. He acted to set things right in this life of contradictions where I want to serve God with all my heart and mind, but am pulled by the influence of sin to do something totally different.
Recently at Narre Warren Baptist Church pastor Peter Botross was sharing about the ministry and mission of his Father and how through his video ministry he influenced so many people with the Gospel.
For many years I have attempted, half-heartedly to start a video ministry under the banner of ‘Living Life Recovery’ unsuccessfully. When I heard Peter talk about his Dad and his influence on others the Holy Spirit prompted me again. As, He has done before to “GET GOING.” In the Bible, Jesus challenged His disciples to “Go and make disciples of all nations.”
Matthew 28:19 “Go and make disciples in all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
When I sat with the Holy Spirit to pray and meditate on God’s prompting He pointed out to me “You already have a global network, use it!” Each week I see people from all over the world connecting through this website and I have never really thought about it before or linked it with Jesus command.
So to that end, I have taken three weeks from my employment to establish “Church for People with Addictions.” via this website. I have tried in the past communicating with the world through social media and youtube, but I believe God is prompting me now to use this website for His purpose.
Acts 20:31-32 says “Stay awake and keep up your guard. Remember those three years I kept at it with you, never letting up, pouring my heart out with you, one after another. “Now I’m turning you over to God, our marvelous God whose gracious Word can make you into what he wants you to be and give you everything you could possibly need in this community of holy friends.”
The Church is not a building. Acts 17:24 says “The God who made the world and everything in it, this Master of sky and land, doesn’t live in custom-made shrines”
The Church is people who believe. Ephesians 2:21 says “We who believe are carefully joined together with Christ as parts of a beautiful, constantly growing temple for God.”
The Church is a living building. 1 Corinthians 3:16 says “Don’t you realize that all of you together are the house of God and that the Spirit of God lives among you”
God cares deeply about the Church. Revelation 2:7 says “Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.”
Over the next three weeks, I will be working (behind the scenes to develop ‘Church For People with Addictions.”
I will try, time permitting to post regular updates on the progress but I assure you when I am done the verse Hebrews 10:25 “Let us not neglect our church meetings, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other.” will become my life ‘motto’
