Proverbs 13:6 A God-loyal life keeps you on track; sin dumps the wicked in the ditch.
Smoke, nothing but smoke. There’s nothing to anything–it’s all smoke. And who knows what’s best for us as we live out our meager smoke-and-shadow lives? And who can tell any of us the next chapter of our lives?
Ecclesiastes 1:2 ~ Ecclesiastes 6:12
1 Thessalonians 1:9-10 People come up and tell us how you received us with open arms, how you deserted the dead idols of your old life so you could embrace and serve God, the true God. They marvel at how expectantly you await the arrival of his Son, whom he raised from the dead–Jesus, who rescued us from certain doom.
1 Corinthians 15:10 Because God was so gracious, so very generous, here I am. And I’m not about to let his grace go to waste. Haven’t I worked hard trying to do more than any of the others? Even then, my work didn’t amount to all that much. It was God giving me the work to do, God giving me the energy to do it.
I am what I am because of what He made me. Over the life of my recovery journey I have had many opportunities I would have never received if not for the Grace of God. Some of the things I have done at the time I did not understand or see the logic in them, but I did them anyway. I did them because in 1989 I gave God control of my life. I believe I am what I am today because of Him. One of the keys to becoming what God wants is availability.
Living Life Recovery is a safe place where people can come, share and investigate the realities of God’s promises for themselves.
We believe that as we investigate God’s promises for our lives and practice the ‘Spiritual Principles of Recovery’ as outlined in ‘God’s Word’ we will find the strength and freedom we need to live productive and peaceful lives.
We welcome anyone who has a sincere desire to change their lives. To rise above the pain and turmoil caused by dependencies and compulsive behaviors their own lives or the lives of a loved one or friend.
Responsible Trust in God requires seeking His will and His power to carry it out. This episode is also available as a blog post: https://livingliferecovery.com/2022/05/28/2022-day-148-discussion-starter/
