Try always to be led along together by the Holy Spirit and so be at peace with one another. I decided that I would speak only of Jesus Christ and his death on the cross. I came to you in weakness—timid and trembling. And my preaching was very plain, not with a lot of oratory and human wisdom, but the Holy Spirit’s power was in my words, proving to those who heard them that the message was from God. I did this because I wanted your faith to stand firmly upon God, not on man’s great ideas.
Stop fooling yourselves. If you count yourself above average in intelligence, as judged by this world’s standards, you had better put this all aside and be a fool rather than let it hold you back from the true wisdom from above. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. As it says in the book of Job, God uses man’s own brilliance to trap him; he stumbles over his own “wisdom” and falls. The Holy Spirit saiy, “I will never again remember their sins and lawless deeds.”
Ephesians 4:3 ~ 1 Corinthians 2:2-5 ~ 1 Corinthians 3:18-19 ~ Hebrews 10:17
Living ‘One Day At a Time’ let the Holy Spirit lead giving you a fresh start each day. I live the part of this scripture that says “I came to you in weakness—timid and trembling. And my preaching was very plain, not with a lot of oratory and human wisdom, but the Holy Spirit’s power was in my words.” I can relate to it. My greatest fear in life has always been public speaking. In my opinion I had nothing to say, and, when I said anything my brain was filled with himan wisdom. Trying to work out the right things to say to encourage others to follow Jesus. And then I got a fresh start, the Holy Spirit intervened, I don’t know what I said but I knew He had taken over.
From tat day till this day when I open my mouth to speak publicly He takes over and I know ‘God’s got this’ and I can let His Word Stand.
