“When you pray, don’t be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get. But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you. Matthew 6:5-6
What an encouraging service at #NWBC today. Two young men in their twenty’s sharing what God is doing in and through their lives. And, what He can do in ours.
The first, Tom shared an inspiring, motivated example of God using His people to change the lives of others through our obedient and openhearted faith in Him
The second, William, who shared a message of God’s transformational power, impacting our lives and our character through personal, one on one meetings with Him in Worship, Bible reading, meditation and prayer.
Thanks Will! You reminded me of a day in 1989, when I was still in my mess, at the end of my rope and I knelt, alone in a Rehab to pray. A day when I heard Jesus say to me “Archie, you do not need to live like this anymore. Follow Me and I will lead you!”
From you that day to this day He has led and I have followed. For almost thirty years now I have acknowledged Him as my Lord and my Saviour and I have enjoyed many, many one on one meetings with Him that have made all the difference on how I live my life today.
