Don’t Trust Your Feelings There is a way that may seem right to a man. But in the end it leads to death. Proverbs 14:12
I have never liked the taste of alcohol, even when I drank. I drank for the feeling.
When I realised I had a drinking problem, it was destroying my life and would probably result in my dying, I drank for the feeling.
I had a discussion with someone recently about the insanity of addiction’ and our disregard of consequences for the sake of the feeling. The best definition I have ever heard of insanity is ‘Doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result.’
- It’s time to start ignoring the feeling and start concentrating on reality.
Payer: Lord, help me today not to be guided by my feelings but to be guided by You and Your truths.
