4o Days of Recovery ~ Day 30

The Right Time For Recovery is NOW!

Don’t put off until tomorrow what can be done today. Procrastination is a sign of weak character.

2 Corinthians 6:2 God reminds us, I heard your call in the nick of time; The day you needed me, I was there to help. Well, now is the right time to listen, the day to be helped.

Remember when you reached ‘rock-bottom’ When you finally realized on your own you were incapable of reaching and keeping hold of recovery. When you consciously made a decision to let God help you change your life and agreed to work with Him in the process? God heard you!  and look at you now.

Joshua 24:15 says “If you decide that it’s a bad thing to worship God, then choose a god you’d rather serve–and do it today. Choose one of the gods your ancestors worshiped from the country beyond The River, or one of the gods of the Amorites, on whose land you’re now living. As for me and my family, we’ll worship God.”

Accepting God as God and Jesus Christ as the One True Higher Power isn’t always easy for us. Coming from dysfunctional backgrounds and ill-equipped to deal with most of our issues. Most of us have tried without success. Trying quick fix solutions with varying degrees of sustainability. It is time to accept God and only God through the saving grace of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit in a relationship with us has everything we need to successfully journey through the maze that is recovery and be used by God to help others do the same.
