STEP SEVEN Through the acknowledgment of God’s supreme power, I humbly ask Him to help me change my sinful habits and attitudes.
When you enter ‘Spiritual Recovery’ and realise God had to be looking after you how could you not want to know more about Him? That’s what happened to me! Realising God cared about me and would help me recover,
Humbly I approached Him. Knowing He was God and I wasn’t, knowing that the only way I was going to change was with His help. Having shared my list of bad attitudes and habits with Him the song ‘I’m in His hands’ took on whole new meaning for me. I knew He had a plan and a purpose for me. I knew the only way to learn it and apply it was t change, not who I was but how I lived my life.
I’m in His hands, I’m in His hands.
What ‘er the future holds, I’m in His hands.
The days ahead you see, have all been planned for me.
His way is best you see. I’m in His hands.
Knowledge of who God is and what He has done, is doing and will do in and through my life helps me in my daily walk as I grow to love Him better every day through the process of constant spiritual growth and change.
