Join me in spreading the news; together let’s get the word out. God met me more than halfway, he freed me from my anxious fears. Psalm 34:3-4
If we care about other people understanding their need for recovery, desiring a different way of living and becoming willing to pursue it, it is natural we want to share at every opportunity what God has done in our lives.
I love the words in verse four “God met me more than halfway.” He provides an opportunity for us all to find a ‘different way of living’ through a daily relationship with the Holy Spirit. “He freed me from my anxious fears.”
In Exodus 14:13 Moses said: “Don’t be afraid. Stand firm and watch God do his work of salvation for you today.” We need to learn through the recovery process to ‘Let go and Let God.’ To let go of our anxieties and to let God lead us, through pursuing and following His will for our lives the good things He has in store for us.
Through letting go and letting God lead we need to be open to moving outside of our comfort zones and encouraging others to do the same.
