There is a right time for everything in the process of recovery. That is why we need to:

  1. Stay in communication with God:
He will reveal the right times to us for everything.
  2. Do regular spiritual check-ups on ourselves:
It is easy to get caught up in the process of recovery and forget about living life.
  3. Do what needs to be done to keep us moving forward:
Process is progress and we need to keep moving forward.

1 Corinthians 4:5 says “Don’t get ahead of the Master and jump to conclusions with your judgments before all the evidence is in.” When he comes, he will bring out in the open and place in evidence all kinds of things we never even dreamed of–inner motives and purposes and prayers. Only then will any one of us get to hear the “Well done!” of God.

There are things in our recovery process that we allow to stop us from moving forward in God’s timing with God’s help. That’s because we often want to understand before we are willing to move forward in faith. I had a mentor who told me you spell ‘faith’ RISK! and if we don’t take any in this journey of continual spiritual process we will never become all God calls us to be or enjoy all He has in store for us.

  • Is anything currently stopping you moving forward in the continual process of spiritual growth called recovery?

Prayer: Lord, just for today help me to keep moving forward in my spiritual journey with You.
