There’s nothing done or said that can’t be forgiven. But if you deliberately persist in your slanders against God’s Spirit, you are repudiating the very One who forgives. None of us are permitted to insist on our own way in these matters. May the God of green hope fill you up with joy, fill you up with peace, so that your believing lives, filled with the life-giving energy of the Holy Spirit, will brim over with hope! Guard this precious thing placed in your custody by the Holy Spirit who works in us. Matthew 12:31 ~ Romans 14:7 ~ Romans 15:13 ~ 2 Timothy 1:14 #WhatTheBibleSays
Day: 28 October 2019
In order to discover God’s purpose in my life, implement it and to improve my relationship with Him,
I will spend time daily in prayer, reading the Bible and meditating on it.
- How prepared are you for what God has in store for you?
Step Eleven says “In order to discover God’s purpose for my life, implement it and to improve my relationship with Him, I will spend time daily in prayer, reading the Bible and meditating on it.”
Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who are hungry and thirsty for what is right. They will be filled.
I am hungry to discover God’s purpose for my life. Because of that, I am going to apply all the principles of recovery to my life so I can be best equipped to do what God wants when I discover what it is. I am thirsty to taste this new way of living and experience all it has to offer me. I recently heard a sermon titles Ready-Set-Go. The speaker said the SET is all about READY for what God had in store for us. That’s how I see step eleven – getting ready!
Prayer: Lord prepares me, equip me and make me ready to obey Your plan for my life. #StepEleven #Ready #Purpose
Job 14:1-2 “We’re all adrift in the same boat: too few days, too many troubles. We spring up like wildflowers in the desert and then wilt, transient as the shadow of a cloud.”
None of us can complete the process of recovery alone and in our own strength. We need God, we need others and we need the power of the Holy Spirit working in and through our lives on a daily basis. #TheWordForRecovery
“You’re blessed when you’ve worked up a good appetite for God.” Matthew 5:6
- Addiction and compulsion lose there influence over our lives as we increasingly yield them to the control of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God living in us reduces our appetite for sin and increases your hunger for God
Romans 8:5 Those who think they can do it on their own end up obsessed with measuring their own moral muscle but never get around to exercising it in real life. Those who trust God’s action in them find that God’s Spirit is in them.
