I read this the other day and posted it on facebook. Not because I liked it but because it troubles me. ‘For every success story, there are 100 failures. I find myself more and more as each day passes wanting to understand the reasons ‘WHY?’ Last night in conversation about the same subject with a friend he said to me “I am would be more interested in understanding the ones that make it.” I understand that. Learn what they do differently to those who fail and investigate how to encourage others to discover it for themselves and apply it. But having been in recovery for 30+ years and observed both success and failure stories over the years the one thing I am certain of about recovery is it is different for us each. Just as God has an individual plan for each of us I believe He also has a unique ‘recovery plan’ for each of us.

Over the next few months, I want to investigate, with God’s help ‘Why people fail in recovery.’ and what I can do to influence their recovery walk and assist them to keep moving forward in His strength to overcome whatever it is and progress in the recovery process to become all He is calling them to be.

Anyone interested in investigating with me please get in touch

Jesus said, “If you were really blind, you would be blameless, but since you claim to see everything so well, you’re accountable for every fault and failure.John 9:41

Awareness of the statement above to me is call to action to do something about changing it. #Blame #Influence  #Recovery
