Morning Harmony #26

A Call to Arms

Revelation 2:19I see everything you’re doing for me. Impressive! The love and the faith, the service, persistence. Yes, very impressive! You get better at it every day.”

Sorry it’s a bit late, it’s almost afternoon. I attended church at #NWBC this morning. Suzie Botross spoke on Revelation 2 and “Living the authority of Jesus.” Inspirational! Which brings me to today’s ‘Morning Harmony’

Jude 1:3 Dear friends, I’ve dropped everything to write you about this life of salvation that we have in common. I have to write insisting–begging!–that you fight with everything you have in you for this faith entrusted to us as a gift to guard and cherish.

In the fight for recovery some of us are only interested in finding an ‘easier, softer way’ Bad News! there isn’t one. The way to recovery requires hard work, sheer dedication, self-discipline and a refusal to give up. Only those prepared to cut their links with the past and move to a life of self-denial and application of God’s way of living will qualify at reaching the goal.

Having commenced on the ‘Road to Recovery’ we must resolve daily to keep moving forward. Shaping up for the greatest battle of our lives. Achieving victory through Jesus Christ means putting our shoulders alongside others in fighting steadfastly in the war against addiction, injustice, poverty, violence and greed.

Fork-tongued God-bashers. Bullies, swaggerer s, insufferable windbags! They keep inventing new ways of wrecking lives. They ditch their parents when they get in the way.
Romans 1:30

Don’t you think the Father who conceived you in love will give the Holy Spirit when you ask him?” Luke 11:13

God, make a fresh start in me, shape a Genesis week from the chaos of my life. Psalms 51:10

“Spiritual warfare is very real. There is a furious, fierce, and ferocious battle raging in the realm of the spirit between the forces of God and the forces of evil. Warfare happens every day, all the time. Whether you believe it or not, you are in a battlefield. You are in warfare.” ― Pedro Okoro

Prayer: Increase, Lord my resistance against pressures that can grind me down. Empower me to keep moving forward and not give up. ever.
