Morning Harmony #35

He’ll arrive like a river in flood stage, whipped to a torrent by the wind of God.
Isaiah 59:19

The kingdom of darkness reacted strongly to the birth of Jesus. Satan is ant-God and his pronounced enemy of all that is Christian., including those who claim to be followers of Christ and take on His way of living. Satan did not succeed at thwarting God’s plan for our salvation however he did increasingly attack Jesus and now we have decided Jesus will be our “One True Higher Power.” we can also depend on receiving Satan’s attention.

His attacks will not always be of hurricane or avalanche proportion. Though at time it may seem as if his relentless efforts are like a flood of swapping suggestion, foul abuse and uncanny persuasiveness. This is what makes him so deceptive. Not always using bullying tactics but catching us off guard by employing a fairy tale approach. Beware!

We have God’s assurance of counter attack. It may not be a routine pattern He follows but the His promise stand by one means or another God can checkmate the evil enemy of our souls. It is a privilege to trust Him when we are being subjected to temptation.

The greater Satan’s effort to defeat us the more we count on God to work on our behalf. When temptation around you gathers, breathe the Holy Spirit (of Jesus) on prayer.

God is bedrock under my feet, the castle in which I live, my rescuing knight. 2 Samuel 22:2

Say this: “God, you’re my refuge. I trust in you and I’m safe!” Psalms 91:2

God is good, a hiding place in tough times. He recognizes and welcomes anyone looking for help. Nahum 1:7

#Depend #Guard #Plan

Prayer: Lord Jesus let me enjoy Your victory when Satan battles me and tempts me and it seems easier to succumb than stand firm on Your promises.
