Recovery Without God is Just Abstinence
Psalm 46:1 God is our place of safety. He gives us strength. He is always there to help us in times of trouble
Prior to accepting Jesus Christ as my Higher Power, I had periods of sobriety. Periods where I abstained from drinking and using mood altering drugs. But they weren’t recovery because I never changed. My attitudes never changed, my beliefs never changed, and my behaviors never changed. Personal relationship with Jesus Christ is required if you want to achieve lasting, growing life recovery
- Are you willing to accept Jesus as your Higher Power?
- Will you accept Him now?
