Let The Sunshine In
God made a home in the sky for the sun; it comes out in the morning like a happy bridegroom, like an athlete eager to run a race. Psalms 19:4-5
Soldiers in World War II used to sing, ‘”The sun is shining. somewhere, I know, I know” Many of us have been confined to a small sunshine corner, for brief warming, during times when our lives were under a heavy cloud of sadness.
Let the sunshine in! Whenever you can open the windows of your soul. Bathe in God’s beauty and allow it to dismiss misery, despair, and darkness. Letting the sunshine in will paint a new picture in your mind. It will transform the scenery of your outlook.
Today’s Scripture reminds us that God found a special place for the sun in His planning. The Psalmist suggests that the sun was allotted an eternal home in the sky, with power and unspeakable glory. The dawn of sunlight likened to a bridegroom and an eager athlete eager to run the race.
The sun functions according to God’s authority, it fulfills its God-given purpose. Welcome each day in this new way of living, God’s Way. Days filled with new opportunities to share in the sunshine of God’s love and open up every area of your life to the SUN of righteousness.
For you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. Malachi 4:2
