Who’s The Boss

“If you decide that it’s a bad thing to worship GOD, then choose a god you’d rather serve–and do it today…….. As for me and my family, we’ll worship God.”
Joshua 24:15

There is a fairly common resentment against established management or lawful supervision. Those who fight against law and order and managerial position are generally people who feel they should be top-dog. People who are keen to assert themselves and delight in bully tactics and dictatorship.

Everyone in positions of authority and leadership is a target for criticism.

Being outspoken with derogatory remarks can boost the ego temporarily but seldom sweetens the soul. We risk much if we choose to be over-indulgent with our use of criticism and are keen to me mates with fault-finders. People who constantly ‘run down’ others are sure to include you in their target aim eventually.

We can be ruled from within by our sinful nature. Whilst detesting others who seemingly boss us around we can fail to see how the enemy within us controls our attitudes and actions. Have you been waylaid from the best intentions simply by succumbing to the pressures of self-will? Let the real Boss [Jesus Christ] help you to overcome your selfish desires and discover His new way of living as you learn the process of Living Life Recovery.

PRAYER
God save me from the sin of criticism, gossip, resentment, and pretense and help me to support the leaders and people of authority you have placed in my life.
