Proverbs 14:12 There’s a way of life that looks harmless enough; look again—it leads straight to hell.
“IF MORE PEOPLE WOULD MOVE BEYOND THE RIGHT WAY INTO THE GOSPEL WAY, THEY WOULDN’T GET SIDE-TRACKED ON THE WRONG WAY.” Larry Christenson
Many people believe they are alright. They are doing right and traveling on the right road. They usually arrive at that conclusion by comparing themselves with the worst people they know. The way that see,s tight for most people is the way they themselves have mapped out. What amounts to the right for large crowds of people is the ability to accomplish their own selfish, ego-inflated goals. All very comfortable, but all very wrong! The road to good intentions is generally paved with personal rights and trying to keep ahead of being found a phony. Not the way God intended it.
God has established the right way. Every other way is either tarnished with humanism or spoiled with self ism. The way to success chosen by most of us leads to disaster ccording to the judgement of God.
It is vital in the process of recovery we discover where we are. Until we admit our wrong we cannot get it right. We have to admit our problem before we can find the solution. John 14:6 Jesus said, “I am the Road, also the Truth, also the Life. No one gets to the Father apart from me.”
