HAVING IDENTIFIED THE PEOPLE, I HAVE HARMED, I WILL NOW GO AND MAKE RESTITUTION TO THEM. UNLESS TO DO IS GOING TO CAUSE THEM OR OTHER PAIN OR SUFFERING.

He has made of one blood all the nations of men living on all the face of the earth ………. So that they might make a search for God, in order, if possible, to get knowledge of him and make the discovery of him, though he is not far from every one of us: Acts 17:26-27 BBE

Alcohol and drugs are international problems. Users belong to the universal brotherhood. We have blood relationships with those of different colors of skin. It is tainted blood where all have the common denominator of sinfulness, and we can all wear the same name tag ‘sinner’ As much as we wished we weren’t every person is born with this label, We don’t have to swallow the idea of ‘original sin’ it is already in us. We all have a craving for sinful habits. No matter our color, creed or religion we all similarly indulge.

Racism is alive in our world. Jesus said “Love (God) him with all your heart, with all your understanding and with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as yourself is more important than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.” Mark 12:33 NIV He is talking about judging people, with sinful discolored minds and hearts, sin causes awful bias, and deplorable prejudice. Only the redeeming blood of Jesus Christ can purify us.

Saving is all his idea and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It’s God’s gift from start to finish! We don’t play a major role. If we did, we’d probably go around bragging that we’d done the whole thing! No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving. He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing. But don’t take any of this for granted. It was only yesterday that you outsiders to God’s ways had no idea of any of this, didn’t know the first thing about the way God works, hadn’t the faintest idea of Christ. You knew nothing of that rich history of God’s covenants and promises in Israel, hadn’t a clue about what God was doing in the world at large. Ephesians 2:8-12 MSG
