HAVING IDENTIFIED THE PEOPLE, I HAVE HARMED, I WILL NOW GO AND MAKE RESTITUTION TO THEM. UNLESS TO DO IS GOING TO CAUSE THEM OR OTHER PAIN OR SUFFERING.
If someone questioned you about why you attend recovery meetings would you be able to give them
an honest answer?
Matthew 26:69 Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard. A servant girl came over and said to him, “You were one of those with Jesus the Galilean.”
Why are some of us ashamed of being in recovery? Like Peter, if someone asks us where we are going to when we are heading to a recovery meeting do we tell lies and deny it. Do we think people didn’t know about our addictions and compulsions? Do we believe they can’t see the difference in how we are living now?
When questioned about our recovery if we try to hide the facts it could lead to our downfall. I can’t stress enough the importance of continually checking on ourselves, including how we react to others who may not be as positive about the recovery process as we are.
Prayer: Please Lord give me the right answers to help others.
