What are you finding it hardest to let go of?

God wants is doing a ‘New Thing’ in and through our lives. He wants us to do is trust Him and, to ‘let go’ of the things we trusted in the past.

GOD WANTS US TO COOPERATE WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT
Don’t cause the Holy Spirit sorrow by the way you live. Remember, he is the one who marks you to be present on that day when salvation from sin will be complete. Ephesians 4:30

GOD WANTS US TO LET GO OF OUR BAD BEHAVIOUR
Stop being mean, bad-tempered, and angry. Quarreling, harsh words and dislike of others should have no place in your lives.
Ephesians 4:31

GOD WANTS US TO BE KING TO OTHERS
Be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God has forgiven you because you belong to Christ. Ephesians 4:32

Ephesians 4:23  says “your attitudes and thoughts must all be constantly changing for the better.” Willingness to change our attitudes, actions, thoughts and behaviours is a necessity in the process of recovery. None of us are the same as we were yesterday (regardless of how long we have been on this recovery journey) Every day we do not allow our addictions and compulsions to draw us back to where we came from. Let go of our pasts and look forward to God’s purposes we grow stronger in our faith and obedience Him and being the people He created us to be.
