2 Timothy 2:4 A soldier does not take part in things that don’t have anything to do with the army. He wants to please his commanding officer.

As we grow in recovery, we need to grow stronger in our character; stronger in our faith, stronger in our commitment to the process, and stronger in our love for God and His way of living. This is opposed to our being strong in our own strength.

Recovery requires patience. Patience in our prayers, that God will give us understanding in all things.

It is easy after thirty-two years involved in the recovery process to look back and see all the times’ God has intervened in the process of my recovery. It is not always easy to look forward with the same understanding. Trusting God is a daily process.
