2021 | Day 360

Discussion Starter

By entering through faith into what God has always wanted to do for us—set us right with him, make us fit for him—we have it all together with God because of our Master Jesus. And that’s not all: We throw open our doors to God and discover at the same moment that he has already thrown open his door to us. We find ourselves standing where we always hoped we might stand—out in the wide-open spaces of God’s grace and glory, standing tall and shouting our praise. There’s more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience, in turn, forges the tempered steel of virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite the contrary—we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit! Romans 5:1-5

By entering recovery we have hope that God will bless us because of the decision we have made/ However we cannot expect the Holy Spirit to help us to grow spiritually unless we are willing to go to any lengths. Saying we will is not enough. Recovery requires action. Going along with the crowd does not suffice. we must commit not only to believing God can help us change but also to do what we need to do to help Him help us to change.

We hope and yes, sometimes we pray that change is in our future but are we WILLING to leave our comfort zones, to go where we have not gone before, and do things that are not in our common. behavioral patters?

With five days left in 2021, I wonder What have you achieved this year? Every year around this time I like to do inventory on my Year that Was! and pray about what I would like to achieve in the year ahead. We have all heard the saying IF YOU AIM AT NOTHING YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU AIM FOR? Over the coming year, I have many, many plans I would like to achieve. For the past couple of months, I have been preparing for 2022. There’s more to come, the scripture above says. My question to everyone reading this tonight is ARE YOU READY FOR GOD’s MORE TO COME? I hope so and I hope that with the help of your One True Higher Power He will give you all you need to achieve it.
